Just watched the timelapse film and having been totally nonplussed by the piece can now say it is inspirational – if only my occasional view from the train had been brought to life earlier.

Public opinion seems to be mixed, but we’re already pretty fond of the big red tower. You don’t get a unique piece of art like this built on your doorstep every day. It will doubtless be an impressive sight.
